The IJCC were very delighted to support the Embassy of Ireland Tokyo at Tokyo Rainbow Pride (TRP) 2024!

This year's pride festival was held from 19th - 21st April 2024 at Yoyogi Park. Many thanks to all those who visited the Purple #4 EU Delegation booth with the Embassies of Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, France and Sweden over the weekend.

It was wonderful to see so many showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community in Japan over the 3 days. From the IJCC board, President Yoshihiro Tsuchiya and Vice President Sarah Hickey walked with Embassy of Ireland Tokyo Ambassador Damien Cole, Deputy Head of Mission Catherine O'Donovan, Agriculture Attaché, Eoghan Murphy and the Delegation of the European Union to Japan in the parade on Sunday. They also handed out IJCC Pride stickers specially made for TRP 2024 at the EU Delegation booth.
