Welcome University of Limerick to the Chamber

The IJCC is delighted to welcome the University of Limerick as our newest corporate member.

The Japanese Section at the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics (University of Limerick) provides undergraduate language and culture classes to a wide variety of students majoring in Japanese. These include the Bachelor of Education in Languages, BA Applied Languages, Bachelor of Business Studies, BA International Business, Bachelor of Law Plus and BA Journalism and Digital Communication. Japanese is also offered at postgraduate level as part of the Professional Masters of Education.

With this partnership, we hope to:

  • provide more opportunities for co-op work placements with Japanese and Japan-related companies, both in Ireland and Japan;
  • widen students’ networks in their job-hunting activities;
  • partner students with chamber members through a mentorship scheme.

It is a great pleasure to be the first university in Ireland to become a member of the Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce, and we look forward to a long-lasting partnership.
