IJCC Member Event: The Ireland Funds Japan - The Irish Run The World 2026

The IJCC are delighted to support IJCC NPO Member The Ireland Funds Japan's annual charity event "The Irish Run the World"

Thank you for supporting the Ireland Funds Global 5K in previous years. We are hoping you will be able to join us again this year. You may have seen some of our promotion on social media and already registered to join, so thank you.

This year we are very grateful for the great sponsorship support from The Busker – Irish Whiskey company.

Our event details are as follows:

📅 Date: 26th September 2026, Saturday

🕐 Time: 9:30am race registration and 10:00am start

📍 Location: Futakoshinchi by the Tamagawa River

🙏 Donation: 5,000 yen (Payable by PayPay, bank transfer or cash on the day, Children free).

Charities

We will support the following two charities this year. As we will have no overheads, all donations will be divided up between the two charities.

Mirai No Mori in Japan. Mirai No Mori is a not-for-profit organization that creates life-changing outdoor programs for abused, neglected, and orphaned youths in Japan, supporting their growth into happy and successful young adults.

EPIC in Ireland. EPIC advocates for the rights of children and young adults in the care and aftercare systems and enables their voice to influence positive change in their own circumstances and the care system

This year we have made T-shirt to commemorate our event, these will be of various sizes, based on Japanese sizes we will have S, M, L, LL and 3L. They will be available for the first 100 paying participants.

To enter this year could you please complete your registration online, letting us know the size of T-shirt you would like and the names who will join you if you have a group, and how you plan to make your payment (JPY 5,000 per person, children free) on the day or via bank transfer. Please do invite your family and friends to join.
