Event Report: Women's Weekend Breakfast Activity #3

On 1st February, the IJCC held our third Women’s Weekend Breakfast Activity.

We were delighted to mark St. Brigid's Day in community with female members of the IJCC at the Rigoletto Wine and Bar in Marunouchi.

IJCC Directors Brietta O'Leary and Harumi Kanaya and Executive Manager Lily Wu had the pleasure of meeting with new and familiar faces in the community, including NPO members Stand With Ukraine and the Irish Network Japan. Our discussions centred on the book How Women Rise, and how we, as women in the workplace, define success and the barriers we face to get there. It was a joy to hear about such diverse experiences and perspectives. Thank you to all who attended for your willingness to share your strength, honesty and vulnerability.

We would like to invite all female IJCC members to mark their calendars for our next event: a hiking activity in the Kamakura area on 29 March.

The IJCC is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive business community for all members. While the Breakfast Activity is focused on IJCC women's inclusion, the scope of the DEI Committee encompasses all levels of diversity. If you are interested in joining the IJCC DEI Committee, the next meeting will be held online on the 11th of March (Tues) from 19:30 - 20:30 JST. Please get in touch at (secretariat [at] ijcc.jp) or reach out to Director Brietta O'Leary.

If you are not a member of the IJCC, we invite you to join our community. Learn more about membership at https://ijcc.jp/membership
