Whisk-e Ltd. was founded in 2000 with a mission to bring the best independently made Scotch whiskies to the whisky loving Japan bartending community and consumers. Starting with the new Isle of Arran Distillers, Whisk-e Ltd. established our first pillar of business importing independently produced Scotch. Following this we soon added other independent Scotch brands like Springbank and all other whiskies in the J.A. Mitchell stable. We currently represent independent whiskies from Kilchoman and GlenAllachie. To slake the insatiable thirst in the Japanese market for premium single cask whiskies, we forged relationships with independent bottlers including Cadenheads, Duncan Taylor, Berry Brothers and Rudd, Samaroli, Elixir, Atom Brands and ACEO plus others as we are always adding new sources. We have also renewed our long-standing relationship with Morrison’s Scotch Whisky Distillers and are well positioned to provide all factions of Japanese Whisky business with superior quality Single Malts, Blended Malts and Blended Scotch. Recognizing that high quality whisky is produced in various parts of the world Whisk-e Ltd. also imports Michter’s and Templeton Rye from the US, and Starward from Australia. In 2008 Whisk-e erected a second business pillar supporting our product portfolio with the addition of Craft beer. Starting with the meteoric BrewDog line-up, we now import highly sought-after UK brands like Thornbridge, Harviestoun and Magic Rock. In 2020 Whisk-e rebooted our European craft beer imports with the re-introduction the highly popular Mikkeller brand. We also import Nogne from Norway and De Molen in the Netherlands which is now part of the Swinkel’s Family Brand portfolio. Our third business pillar was constructed in the mid 2010’s as Whisk-e Ltd. spearheaded the Craft Gin and Craft Spirits boom. Recognizing the rapidly increasing need for knowledge and diversity in craft gins and other spirits in the Japanese bar community, Whisk-e Ltd. quickly established relationships with the worlds best producers and today boasts a rich yet balanced portfolio of diverse brands representing the best in class of the industry. Our portfolio includes Silent Pool Gin, Ron Diplomatico Rum, Gin and Vermouth from Sacred Spirits, Fortaleza Tequila, and the world’s best Liqueurs from Disaronno and Fernet Branca in Italy. To mix with the world’s finest Whiskies, Gins, Rum and Liqueurs, we import the World’s highest quality mixers from Fever Tree.
