Ambassador's Breakfast Briefing with Minister Roderic O'Gorman

Ambassador Cole would like to extend an invitation to Chamber members to attend a breakfast briefing with visiting special guest Minister Roderic O'Gorman. The briefing will take place at the Residence on the morning of 14 March from 0800 to 0900. Minister O'Gorman (bio below) will be visiting Japan as part of the St. Patrick's Day programme and the Embassy is delighted to welcome him to Tokyo and hear him speak on political and economic developments in Ireland and meet with IJCC members.

This event is limited to IJCC Regional Professional, Professional, Corporate and Platinum members only. Due to very limited spaces, we strongly encourage members to sign up early. There is no cost to attend this event.

Roderic O'Gorman

Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth 

Roderic O'Gorman is the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. He was appointed to this role in June 2020. 

Roderic was elected to represent the Dublin West constituency in the 2020 general election. Prior to being elected to Dáil Éireann, he served on Fingal County Council, having been first elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2019, representing the Green Party/ Comhaontas Glas. 

An EU law lecturer, he has worked with the DCU Brexit Institute, focusing on how to manage the challenge facing Ireland as a result of the UK’s decision to leave the European Union. He has also served on the board of management of five schools - Coolmine, Scoil Choilm, Danu Special School, Pobail Setanta and Castleknock Community College.

EU法研究の講師として、ダブリンシティ大学ブレグジット研究所において 

英国のEU離脱決定によってアイルランドが直面する課題へどう対処するかについて重点的に取り組んだ。 

また、5つの学校で理事を務めた経験がある。
