Event Report – A Conversation with DCU Alumni
On Tuesday 27th July, the IJCC held the event titled “A Conversation with DCU Alumni”.
Moderated by an IJCC director Aisling Barry, the IJCC president Yoshihiro Tsuchiya made welcome remarks. After that, Mr. Tony Tobin the DCU Japan Representative and Prof. Daire Keogh the President of DCU also gave us warm messages.
In the main session, 4 DCU Alumni: Mr. Emmett Duffy - Assistant Brand Manager Tequila & The Kraken EMEA APAC at Proximo Spirits, Mr. Eoin McKeogh - Business Development Manager Navagis Inc., Mr. Doire Myler - HR/English Business Coordinator Sekisui Medical, Mr. Wataru Hattori – Director of Sales at Indeed Japan made presentations about their time in DCU, job-hunting experiences and provided advice about building career in Ireland-Japan business filed. Ms. Asami Morita, Market Executive at Enterprise Ireland also provided an informative presentation about job-hunting in Japan.
Participants also enjoyed talking with speakers at Q&A session and networking after the main session.
