On 20th November, Ambassador Cole invited IJCC members to an intimate breakfast briefing event at the Residence.

We were delighted to have esteemed academic and scholar of European Affairs Professor Brigid Laffan as a special guest as we marked the significant milestone of 50 years of EU membership for Ireland.

Professor Laffan shared her insights and expertise in European affairs and engaged in active discussion with members throughout the morning over a beautiful Irish breakfast. IJCC members had the opportunity to exchange thoughts with Professor Laffan on a range of topics, including the lasting impact of EU membership for Ireland, the changing global political landscape and what this means for Ireland and the EU at large, the continued impact of the UK's exit from the EU, and much more.
