Event Report: I Love Ireland Festival 2023

The I Love Ireland Festival (ILIF), hosted by the IJCC, was held over 2 days from 11th - 12th March in the Yoyogi Park Events Square in Tokyo.

We were delighted to bring back Asia’s largest St Patrick's Day event after 4 years. The 2-day festival celebrated all things Irish - food, drink, and music! It was a joy to see seas of green throughout the festival and at the Tokyo St. Patricks Day on Sunday.

We welcomed a few special guests at this year's festival, including the Ambassador of Ireland to Japan Damien Cole and Minister of State at the Department of Transport and the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications Jack Chambers.

Thanks to all who dropped by the Ireland House booth to say hello. This year, at the booth, the IJCC collected donations for Stand With Ukraine Japan. We offered Ukraine-Ireland friendship pins for any donations over 1000¥. Thanks to everyone's generous support, we raised 92,150¥ for SWU Japan!!

This year's festival faced many challenges, especially financially. If you enjoyed the festival, please consider donating to our crowdfunding campaign here: https://readyfor.jp/projects/ilif2023

With your support, we hope to bring back the ILIF for many years to come!
