Official Opening of Ireland House by an Taoiseach, Micheál Martin

The IJCC executive team and board members were delighted to have the opportunity to speak to the Taoiseach during the official opening of the new Ireland House in Yotsuya last night.

We were grateful for the opportunity to advocate for the Irish business community - as well as enjoy a lively discussion on Cork-Kerry football!

In an Taoiseach's opening statement, he acknowledged the "flourishing" economic relationship between the two countries, which "continues to grow", citing the total €21.5 billion in trade between the two countries, as well as acknowledging the Irish companies in Japan and Japanese companies in Ireland, which employ thousands.

The IJCC is proud to be a player in supporting this growth, by continuing to create opportunities for our members in the Ireland-Japan business community.
