Welcome Bergman Co., Ltd. to the Chamber

The IJCC is delighted to welcome Bergman Co., Ltd. as a Corporate Member.

In deciding to join the Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce, the CEO of Bergman Co., Ltd. Seiji Kasama would like to share the following:

It all started when I was president of Dimplex Japan. I joined the Japan Ireland Economic Association (JIEA), which preceded the IJCC, by recommendation from the former Irish Ambassador to Japan. Another reason for joining the IJCC was their sponsorship of the Tokyo Tower Green Light-up commemorative event on St. Patrick’s Day in 2007, marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Japan.

As the JIEA became the IJCC, I took on the position of IJCC President for 2 years from 2009 to 2011, and from 2012 I have been working as Honorary Consul of Ireland in Sapporo, supporting cultural and economic exchange as well as friendly relations between Ireland and Hokkaido. Every March, we also organize a St. Patrick’s Day parade in Sapporo. Through the IJCC's strong network, we would like to further strengthen connections with our IJCC members and focus our efforts on promoting economic development between Ireland and Japan.
