The Emerald Ball Committee is the organizing body behind Japan’s premier Irish gala event, held annually to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and raise funds for charities in both Ireland and Japan. The event, which brings together leaders from the business, diplomatic, and cultural communities, raises between ¥2M–¥4M JPY each year, with funds distributed through The Ireland Funds to support initiatives in education, community development, and cultural preservation. As a key event in the Irish-Japanese calendar, the Emerald Ball provides a unique platform for fostering cultural exchange, philanthropy, and networking, while ensuring that our contributions create a lasting impact in both countries.
