We started our St. Patrick's Day in Motomachi, Yokohama in 2004 with great support from the local shop owners association Motomachi SS-kai and developing every year, and added greenings at Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall, Kanagawa Prefecture government building, Motomachi-Chukagai Station building and Cosmo Clock 21(100m diameter Ferris Wheel in Minatomirai). We also encourage & support people in other regions to start parade, festival and greening, i.e. Nagoya, Fukui, Kyoto, Iwate, Osaka, Yamagata, Fukushima, Shizuoka, Chiba, Hyogo, Yamaguchi etc. and trying to expand the celebration of St. Patrick's Day as a way of promoting Ireland to cover all 47 prefectures of Japan.
