On August 31st, the Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce (IJCC) and the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCIJ) came together to host the much anticipated Thirsty Thursday at Peter Cole in Nishi Shinjuku! 

Due to Japan's Obon holidays, this month's gathering was dubbed 'Thirsty' Thursday and was held at the end of the month in celebration of our return from the summer. Attendees, including members, friends, and newcomers, were greeted warmly, and welcomed an inclusive and community-driven environment. 

Once attendees settled in with drink in hand, both Chambers came together for the opening remarks. IJCC President Yoshihiro Tsuchiya and SCCIJ President Thomas Brodbeck shared a bit of playful banter between Chambers while also delivering updates on news and upcoming events. 

The evening featured engaging conversations, the forging of new connections, and an exhilarating meishi draw with special raffle prizes of The Busker Irish Whiskey and Vinigma Swiss Wine. Throughout the event, a vibrant camaraderie prevailed as attendees freely exchanged ideas and experiences in a relaxed setting, underlining the inherent value of networking.
